Right now, Hatzolah of Mill Basin is facing a huge funding crisis. Your immediate support is desperately needed. Our selfless volunteers are not able to do this invaluable service of helping people and saving lives without the financial support of the people living in our communities.
We exist solely on donations from YOU, our communities residents and businesses.
We receive NO federal, state or city financial aid. We receive NO insurance or Medicare funding. We receive NO financial aid from any other Hatzolah division or fundraisers.
We alone must service and maintain our two State-of-the-Art, life-saving ambulances.
We alone must pay for the constant and ongoing continuing medical education for our volunteers, pay for our own insurance, day to day supplies, necessary medications and other essential life-saving equipment!
SPONSORSHIPS AVAILABLE
| Fully Equipped Ambulance $155,000 Our ambulances, the link between Hatzolah responders and getting the patients to the proper care center, are one of our most vital assets. They are very expensive to purchase and outfit with equipment, but without them, we can't exist. Your sponsorship will purchase one fully equipped ambulance, including: 12-Lead cardiac monitor, stretcher, stair chair, portable AED, fully equipped Paramedic equipment bag, fully equipped EMT equipment bag, advanced two-way radio communications and much more. Your endowment entitles you to have your name placed on the ambulance with a dedication. Example; Hatzolah Volunteer Ambulance - Sponsored by the Dovid Cohen Family of Mill Basin | |
| 12-Lead Cardiac EkG Monitor - $25,000 One of the most vital pieces of medical equipment that we need, a 12-lead cardiac monitor is needed for each ambulance as well as for every paramedic. This allows our paramedics to monitor the EKG rhythms of a cardiac patient and prescribe the proper medication or shock needed to save the patient's life. | |
| Complete Emergency Medical Equipment Kit (Paramedic) - $6,000 This kit contains all of the necessary equipment to handle almost any advanced medical emergency. Included are such basic necessities such as stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, medications for handling such emergencies as cardiac, diabetic, overdose, major trauma, and more. These medications are extremely expensive, and it is very common to use more than $1,000 worth of medications on a single cardiac call. | |
| AED (personal sized defibrillator) - $4,150 If we are able to give every member an AED, this greatly enhances our chances of saving someone suffering from sudden cardiac arrest. This medical device urgently delivers a shock to the heart, interrupting the non-productive heart rhythms causing the heart to resume beating normally. | |
| Two-Way Base Radio - $1,200 (includes installation) This radio is much more powerful than the handheld radios used by most members, and is usually reserved for neighborhood coordinators and paramedics. | |
| Complete Emergency Medical Kit (EMT) - $1,000 This kit contains all of the necessary equipment to handle almost any basic emergency. Included are such basic necessities such as stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, splints, cervical collars, oxygen tank with regulator, BVM masks, suction kits, oxygen masks, adult and pediatric airways, bandages for wounds, burn care accoutrements, obstetric kits and more. | |
| Two-Way Handheld Radio - $850 This radio, used by all members, is an indispensable tool that allows members to communicate with each other, with the ambulances and with the main dispatcher. | |
| EMT Refresher Course - $850 This will allow us to provide one refresher training course as is required by NYS law for all EMT's every three years. | |
| Gasoline for One Week - $216 This will provide enough gasoline to fuel the ambulances for an average one week period. |
Please, we urge you to help us to help you. Please send in your donations!
