Hatzolah of Mill Basin is yours and our all-volunteer, 24 hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week, 365-days-a-year Emergency Ambulance Service. Day and night, our unpaid but highly trained Paramedics, EMT's and Service units respond to your medical emergencies in the neighborhoods of Mill Basin, Canarsie, Old Mill Basin, Bergen Beach, Georgetown, Remsen Village, Starett City and even East New York. Hatzolah is the lifeline of our communities, providing the finest pre-hospital emergency medical response and transportation.
Additionally, we respond to city-wide emergencies, along with the NYC Fire and Police Departments, to events such as the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centers on 9/11, the airplane crash in Belle Harbour and other mass-casualty events where we are needed.
Hatzolah's legendary response time is only possible because our volunteers live and work in our neighborhoods. They give up time from work, time spent with their families, time spent praying in Shul and learning, time sleeping, to be able to provide our communities this invaluable service and do this huge MITZVAH! We cannot rely on the City of New York ambulances with their much longer response times!
